Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has said he is targeting a good start to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

He believes this will give Ghana a good chance of qualifying for the tournament, which will be hosted in Morocco next year.

Addo unveiled his 23-man squad to take on Angola and Niger in the first two qualifying games.

“We have to take one step at a time. We have to qualify for the AFCON first, and this is my aim at the moment,” he said.

“For this, we need a good start against Angola, and that’s what I'm thinking about at the moment and nothing else."

The Black Stars will host Angola on September 5th at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, kicking off their Group F campaign.

They will then travel to Niamey to take on Niger four days later in Berkane, Morocco.

These early matches will set the tone for Ghana's quest to secure a spot in the prestigious continental tournament.
