The Ghana women’s U20 national team nicknamed the Black Princesses have played their final friendly match ahead of their trip to Columbia for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
In the friendly game against Avenor Stars U15 boys on Monday, August 13, the Black Princesses lost 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Princesses are scheduled to depart for Colombia on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, ahead of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, which will kick off from Saturday, August 31 - Sunday, September 22, 2024.
The team has been undergoing intensive preparations in Cape Coast since June 27, focusing on tactical strategies, physical conditioning, and overall team cohesion.
President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku was at the Accra Sports Stadium to watch the final friendly match of the Black Princesses.
He urged the team to go with confidence and fight to make it past the group stage of this year’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
