Ghana champions Samartex bolster midfield with signing of Solomon Adjei from Okwawu United

Ghanaian champions, FC Samartex have completed the signing of midfielder Solomon Adjei ahead of the new season.

The attacking midfielder joins the reigning Ghana Premier League winners from Division One League side Okwawu United.

Adjei signed a three-year deal with the Timber Giants after ending his spell with the Soccer Mountaineers.

He is expected to add a new dimension to Samartex as they prepare ahead of the defense of their title while also representing Ghana in Africa.

"We are delighted to unveil highly-skilled Solomon Adjei as our new attacking midfielder on a three-year deal. Adjei brings with him a stunning talent, having previously played for Division One side, Okwahu United. His arrival adds a new dimension to our team," wrote the club, announcing his arrival.

The highly-rated midfielder has joined his teammates for pre-season as the Timbers prepare for the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

FC Samartex 1996 will face Cameroonian champions Victoria United in the first round of the continental championship.

Adjei becomes the club's fourth signing in the transfer window joining Isaac Baffoe, Akwasi Sarpong and Mohammed Alhassan Mankuyeli.

Samartex are currently in the Eastern Region preparing for the upcoming campaign.
