Ghanaian midfielder Lawrence Ofori played a crucial role in Moreirense's 2-1 victory over Farense in the Liga Portugal.

Ofori came on as a substitute in the 67th minute, replacing Alan, and provided the assist for the winning goal.

The match, held at the Estádio de São Lúis, saw Moreirense extend their head-to-head dominance over Farense, with the teams' record now standing at 7 wins for Moreirense, 1 win for Farense, and 2 draws. Despite Farense having more possession and shots, Moreirense created four big chances.

Maracás opened the scoring for Moreirense in the 7th minute with a header from a set piece, assisted by Alan. Sidnei Tavares received a second yellow card in the 64th minute, reducing Moreirense to ten men. Farense equalized two minutes later through Álex Bermejo, who scored from close range following a cross by Rivaldo Morais.

However, Ofori's impact was felt in the 79th minute when his assist set up Luís Asué for the winning goal. Asué's left-footed shot from the center of the box found the bottom left corner, securing the victory for Moreirense.

Moreirense will next face Arouca in their league game on August 18th.
