Crystal Palace has officially bolstered their attacking lineup with the signing of English-born Ghanaian striker Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal on a five-year deal.

Nketiah, who began his youth career at Chelsea before moving to Arsenal at the age of 14, has consistently showcased his prolific goal-scoring abilities.

His impressive record includes 39 goals in 39 games for Arsenal's Under-18s, which accelerated his rise to first-team football. Nketiah scored twice in just his second senior appearance and went on to win the FA Cup with Arsenal in the 2019/20 season. In October 2020, he set a new goalscoring record for the England Under-21s, netting 16 goals in 17 games.

Nketiah made his senior England debut last October against Australia. During his tenure at Arsenal, he scored 38 goals in 168 games, averaging a goal nearly every 180 minutes. Last season, he scored his first Premier League hat-trick against Sheffield United.

Crystal Palace anticipates that Nketiah will significantly enhance their attacking prowess for the 2024/25 season.
