Midfielder Solomon Adjei has shared his excitement after securing a move to Ghana Premier League champions Samartex.

The attacking midfielder joined the Timber giants from Division One League side Okwawu United.

Adjei signed a three-year deal with the Timber giants after ending his spell with the Soccer Mountaineers.

He is expected to add a new dimension to Samartex as they prepare ahead of the defense of their title while also representing Ghana in Africa.

Speaking to the club’s media, Adjei described his move from the Division One to the Ghana Premier League as a dream come true.

“It's a dream come true to leap from the Division One League to join the Ghana Premier League Champions. Together with my other colleagues, we work hard to make the supporters happy.” He said.

The highly-rated midfielder has joined his teammates for pre-season as the Timbers prepare for the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

FC Samartex 1996 will face Cameroonian champions Victoria United in the first round of the continental championship.

Adjei becomes the club's fourth signing in the transfer window joining Isaac Baffoe, Akwasi Sarpong and Mohammed Alhassan Mankuyeli.

Samartex are currently in the Eastern Region preparing for the upcoming campaign.
