Kingston, who is also a former Ghana international, announced his resignation after the team suffered a 2-1 defeat to Burkina Faso in the ongoing WAFU B U-17 tournament, which is being hosted by Ghana.

Speaking in an interview with Peace FM, as monitored by Footballghana.com, Badu, who has been a keen follower of the team, expressed his shock at the sudden turn of events.

"I followed the team Laryea is someone I have worked with before so when you have games like this you have to support so I followed when they were in camp, when he was doing his scouting, their friendly games," he said.

"When he and Dreams FC coach went to Serbia with the team I followed the team then he was appointed to be the coach I followed the team watched them in Russia in their tournament losing the first game and winning the rest.

"Then we came to the tournament itself he was building a formidable team that in no time we count on some of the players. It is just unfortunate I don't know what really happened that the issue came after our lose then he came with the communique that he has resigned,"
