Kumasi Asante Kotoko moved to fourth place on the league log with a vital 1-0 win over Bechem united at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour park on Wednesday.

The Porcupines who were without lead marksman Dauda Mohammed scored the only goal of the match in the 72nd minute when winger Frank Sarfo Gyamfi blasted a shot home.

For Bechem, the loss was their first home loss of the season and they would be disappointed to have conceded late on after a barren first half.

The homesters dominated the possession in the first half but were unable to make their dominance count with poor finishing and passing in the final third.

The Porcupine Warriors came into their own in the second half and got just result when former Maritzburg winger, Gyamfi gave them the lead.

Kotoko have are now fourth of the league log and will have the chance to extend winning streak when they welcome strugglers Inter Allies on Sunday.
