Medeama Sporting Club is set to kick off its pre-season campaign with a friendly match against Eastern Region’s Division Two side, Kade United.
The game is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the All Nations University Park in Koforidua, with a 3 pm kickoff.
This match will provide the technical team with a crucial assessment of their preparations since setting up camp in the Eastern Region on July 25, 2024. The friendly is particularly significant as it precedes Medeama’s upcoming clash against Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Friday, August 16, 2024. This highly anticipated match will mark the grand opening and handover of the new Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium, a 12,000-seater ultra-modern facility financed by Gold Fields.
Coach Nebojsa Kapor is expected to use the game against Kade United to test some of his newly recruited players and determine how best to replace those who have left the club. This pre-season friendly is a key step in Medeama’s preparations for the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League season.
