In a pre-season friendly at EverBank Stadium, Ghanaian attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus scored for West United, but his team fell 3-1 to Wolves in Florida.
The 23-year-old Kudus netted his first goal of the pre-season campaign after three appearances. He played for 63 minutes before being substituted with the score tied 1-1.
Wolves took an early lead in the 18th minute. Pablo Sarabia intercepted a misdirected pass from West Ham, setting up Jorgen Strand Larsen, who then laid it off for Cunha to finish with a precise strike.
West United equalized just before halftime. Kudus, taking on Rayan Ait-Nouri, shifted right and unleashed a shot past Wolves’ goalkeeper Dan Bentley into the near post.
Kudus was substituted in the 65th minute with the game level. Wolves pulled away in the second half as Rodrigo Gomes scored twice in quick succession, in the 72nd and 77th minutes, sealing a 3-1 win for Wolves in the all-Premier League clash.
