The 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season is set to conclude with a thrilling match week 34 encounter between newly crowned champions Samartex and runners-up Accra Lions.
The highly anticipated game will take place on Sunday afternoon at the Nsenkyire Park in Samreboi.
Samartex, who have already secured the league title, will be looking to end their season on a high note despite their recent mixed form. The champions have lost three and won two of their last five games, including a 4-2 defeat to Karela United in their previous match. Seidu Abubakar and Emmanuel Mamah scored for Samartex, but it wasn't enough to prevent the loss.
Accra Lions, on the other hand, have shown more consistency in their recent performances. They have drawn twice, won twice, and lost once in their last five games. Accra Lions come into this game following a 1-0 victory over Dreams FC in week 33.
Currently, Samartex sits atop the league table with 58 points, while Accra Lions are in second place with 51 points.
Following the game, Samartex will be officially coronated as the Ghana Premier League champions. The match is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 pm.
