Head Coach Rui Vitoria of Egypt’s National Men’s Football Team expresses confidence that the upcoming game against Ghana will differ from their match against Mozambique in the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire.

The Pharaohs previously secured a 2-2 draw against Mozambique and are set to face Ghana’s Black Stars on Thursday, January 18, at 20:00 GMT.

In a press conference leading up to the game, Vitoria assured the readiness of his team to face West Ham midfielder Mohammed Kudus, who is likely to feature for Ghana after missing the Black Stars' 1-2 loss to Cape Verde.

“Each game, we have a different story, and tomorrow will be different from the previous game.

So, we will choose the players that can give us the answer for what we want. We have to try to improve… It doesn’t mean we have to change everything because everything is bad; no. We are doing a very good job…we believe in what we are doing.”

Egypt, having reached the 2021 AFCON final but losing to Senegal on penalties, aims to build on their performance and secure a positive result against Ghana in the upcoming encounter.
