2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup: Black Princesses to know group opponents on June 5

The Ghana U20 women’s national team nicknamed the Black Princesses will know their opponents for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup on June 5 when the draw is held in Columbia.

“The draw for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup is will be held in Bogota, Colombia on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. The 24 qualified teams will be divided into six groups of four teams each for the final competition.

“The Black Princesses will know their opponents for the U-20 World Cup in Columbia where they will be making their seventh consecutive appearance at the biennial competition,” a statement from the Ghana FA said on Thursday.

The 2024 edition of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup has seen an increase from 16 to 24 countries with CAF having four representatives.

At the end of the African qualifiers, Ghana’s Black Princesses secured a place in the tournament alongside Nigeria, Cameroon, and Morocco.

According to the Ghana FA, Ghana will be represented by Black Princesses Head Coach Yussif Basigi and Hannah Ofosu Asare, Administrative manager, National Teams Department at the draw.

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup will kick off in Colombia from Saturday, August 31 to Sunday, September 22, 2024.
