2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup: Black Princesses coach Yussif Basigi eyes victory over New Zealand

The head coach of Ghana’s Black Princesses, Yussif Basigi is upbeat ahead of the game against New Zealand.

The Black Princesses will take on New Zealand tonight in their final Group E game at the 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

Speaking ahead of the game, coach Yussif Basigi said his side has prepared well and looking at securing victory.

“We are left with our last match in the group stage and we are hoping to do well. As at now we have only one major injury concern, and that has been ruled out of the game but for the rest, they are ready. Training has been good with the hope of playing very well to win our last game," Coach Basigi said.

The Black Princesses coach continued, “Both Ghana and New Zealand will like to finish the group stage with a good result and because of that it is going to be a very tough match.

‘’I think the girls are well psyched up to go all out so we can amass the maximum three points.”

The game between Ghana and New Zealand will be played at the Pascual Guerrero stadium, Cali at 23:00GMT.
