Ghana's head coach, Otto Addo, has emphasized the need for his team to approach their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola with caution.

Addo warned against underestimating the Angolan side, highlighting the strength of their squad, which includes players from top European leagues like La Liga, the English Championship, and the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

"The most important thing is that is very important for the spectators s that we don't underrate our opponents. Angola has a very strong team their players are playing in La Liga, their players are in England the Championship they have players in Portugal in the first division, in France," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"They are strong they are very strong we have to be really really wise not to underrate them we have ours we have to confine into the game our style of play. But also especially defensively be more compact not to concede goals," he added.

Addo recently announced his 23-man squad, who began their preparations with a training session at the Accra Sports Stadium. The team has since traveled to Kumasi to continue their training ahead of the crucial match.

The Black Stars are set to face Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium on September 5, before taking on Niger in Morocco on September 9. The top two teams from each group will secure a spot in the prestigious tournament.
