2025 Africa Cup of Nations: Black Stars leave Accra for Kumasi ahead of Angola clash [Photos]

The senior national team, the Black Stars have left Accra for Kumasi on Tuesday to continue their preparations for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The team officially opened camp in Accra on Monday and held their first training session with 10 players.

The players include Frederick Asare, Joseph Wollacott, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Thomas Partey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas Asante, Ebenezer Annan, Jonas Adjetey, Tariq Lamptey and Ibrahim Osman.

After the first session, additional players including Jerome Opoku, Mohammed Kudus, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Inaki Williams, Abdul Mumin, Alidu Seidu, Mohammed Salisu, Forson Amankwah, Joseph Paintsil and Majeed Ashimeru joined the camp, bringing the total number of players to 20.

The rest of the players are expected to team up with the rest of the players in Kumasi.

The team will hold their first training session at the Baba Yara Stadium on Tuesday afternoon before wrapping up their training session on Wednesday as they gear up for the game on Thursday.

After the game, the Black Stars will make a trip to Berkane, Morocco, for the second Group F game against Niger on Monday, September 9, 2024 in Berkane.

Otto Addo will hope to secure back-to-back wins in their first two games in Group F.
