2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers: Black Stars to depart to Kumasi today

The Black Stars will depart for Kumasi later today to continue their preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola.

The team officially opened camp in Accra on Monday with ten players holding the first team training session at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Frederick Asare, Joseph Wollacott, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Thomas Partey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas Asante, Ebenezer Annan, Jonas Adjetey, Tariq Lamptey and Ibrahim Osman all participated in the first training session.

Following the training session, Jerome Opoku, Mohammed Kudus, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Inaki Williams, Abdul Mumin, Alidu Seidu and Majeed Ashimeru have all joined the camp of the Black Stars.

The rest of the invited players are expected to join the rest of the squad in Kumasi. The team will hold their first training session at the Baba Yara Stadium on Tuesday and Wednesday as they gear up for the game on Thursday.

After the game, the Black Stars will make a trip to Berkane, Morocco, for the second Group F game against Niger on Monday, September 9, 2024.
