2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers: Black Stars touch down in Kumasi to continue preparations for Angola game

The Black Stars of Ghana have safely arrived in Kumasi to intensify their preparations for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

Their initial training session occurred last Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium, featuring ten players: Frederick Asare, Joseph Wollacott, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Thomas Partey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Ebenezer Annan, Jonas Adjetey, Tariq Lamptey, and Ibrahim Osman.

Joining the squad in Kumasi are additional players including Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Turkish-based duo Kingsley Schindler and Jerome Opoku, Alidu Seidu, Majeed Ashimeru, Inaki Williams, Abdul Mumin, and Kudus Mohammed.

Forson Amankwah, who received a late call-up, is expected to join soon, as are Osman Bukari and Jordan Ayew, who are anticipated to arrive by the end of the day.

The team will conduct their next training session later today at the Baba Yara Stadium. This session, open to the public and media, is crucial as the Black Stars gear up for their qualifier against Angola on Thursday, September 5.

They will follow up with their second Group F match against Niger in Berkane, Morocco, on Monday, September 9, 2024.
