Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo has indicated that his team needs to play with passion to have the chance to defeat Sudan in the next round of qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

According to him, this is a key element that was missing from his team’s performance in the games against Angola and Niger this month.

Speaking on the sidelines of a seminar organised by CAF, Coach Otto Addo said everything is possible in the qualification process if only his team can bring back the passion.

"I think the biggest thing is we show passion this was lacking in the game against Niger we have to bring this passion back and the field. Besides all the tactics and the quality we have to show the passion especially defensively and the intensity defensively to beat this team and if we show it everything is possible and we take points from there," Coach Otto Addo said.

After failing to beat either Angola or Niger in the first two games of the qualifiers, Ghana’s chances of qualifying for the 2025 AFCON have become slim.

Fortunately, the team can still secure qualification by picking maximum points from the last four games in the qualifiers.
