Black Stars attacker Brandon Thomas-Asante says the team's target is to secure victories in their two 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

Ghana will take on Angola on Thursday, September 5, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in their opening game of the qualifiers before facing Niger four days later in Morocco.

The former West Bromwich Albion forward earned his first Ghana call-up in June 2024 ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic.

He made his debut against the Central African Republic in Kumasi, helping the team secure victory as they began their journey to qualify for the World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.

He has again been included in the squad for the AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

Speaking of the games after their first training session in Accra on Monday, Asante said, “I'm always excited to come to the camp.

“Like last time, we won two games, so we want to do the same again. But we always keep our heads high and work towards the next game.”
