Ghanaians are heaping praises on the team’s assistant coach, Thomas Partey, for boldly asking the country’s vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to provide better stadiums.
The Arsenal midfielder made this request the Veep paid a visit to the team at their hotel at their hotel in Kumasi ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifier against The Central African Republic.
The Black Stars are set to host the Central African country on Monday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the fourth round of the Group I qualifying game of the Mexico, Canada, and USA tournament.
Speaking during the visit, Partey said, “We are ready. We want to give our best tonight. I have one request, from all the players, we ask for a good stadium because we want to play better football”.
In response, fans commended the 30-year-old for making the necessary request.
