2026 World Cup Qualifiers: GFA Exco member Randy Abbey confident of Black Stars win ahead of CAR clash

Randy Abbey, a member of the Ghana Football Association Executive Council is optimistic the Black Stars will secure victory against Central Africa Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The four-time Africa champions will play host to the Wild Beast at the Baba Yara Stadium on Monday night.

Ghana revived their chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Mexico, Canada, and the United States of America following their hard-fought victory against Mali last Thursday.

Speaking to Akoma FM, Randy Abbey expressed the Black Stars will achieve the desired outcome by beating Central Africa Republic.

“Fans in Kumasi have been excellent, and we expect them to surpass their previous level of excellence”

“On Monday, we want to see the stadium filled, and we know we'll give them something to celebrate. We will eventually achieve the desired outcome, which is to win, and that will increase our chances of qualification”

Currently, the Black Stars are positioned third in their group with 6 points, holding a two-point lead over the Central African Republic, who are currently in fifth place with 4 points.
