2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Ghana coach Otto Addo to field strong squad against Central Africa Republic

Ghana coach Otto Addo is expected to field a strong starting line-up for their 2026 World Cup qualifying game against Central Africa Republic on Monday night.

The four-time Africa champions play host to the Wild Beast of Central Africa Republic at the Baba Yara Stadium at 7pm.

Otto Addo is desperate to secure back-to-back wins with the Black Stars after triumphing over Mali in Bamako last Thursday.

However, the former Talent Development coach of Dortmund is set to field the best of squad to face the Wild Beast as he aim to snatch maximum points.

The Black Stars were more defensive in their previous game against Mali, allowing the Eagles to dominate play.

But Otto Addo is expected to vary his system against Central Africa Republic this evening.

Jordan Ayew, who climbed off the bench to score the winning goal for Ghana could return to the starting lineup for the game against Central Africa Republic.

The Black Stars group is widely open, with all teams having a fair chance after three rounds of matches. The four-time Africa champions are tied on six points with Madagascar and Comoros.

The aforementioned countries are closely followed by Mali with four points and the Central African Republic also with four points, while Chad is at the bottom with no points.

However, the Black Stars must ensure they secure maximum points over the Wild Beast on home turf to push them further on the standings in Group I.
