2026 World Cup qualifiers: Jordan Ayew equals and surpass his brother Andre Ayew’s Black Stars goal tally

Jordan Ayew has equaled and surpassed his senior brother, Andre Ayew's goal tally for the Black Stars after finding the back of the net three times against Central African Republic in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Crystal Palace striker scored from the spot, headed in an equalizer, and tapped in as the Black Stars battled against the Central African Republic on Monday, June 10th.

The crucial strikes were his 24th, 25th, and 26th goals since making his debut for the West Africa powerhouse in September 2010 under coach Milovan Rajevac.

Andre Ayew, who is currently the captain of the national team has racked up 24 goals in 114 appearances since making his debut in August 2007.

Jordan Ayew drew level with his brother after scoring his 23rd against Mali on June 6th in Bamako. Jordan needed 102 games to hit 24 goals for the four-time African champions.

Meanwhile, their father Abedi Pele scored 19 goals in 73 games during his playing days for the Black Stars.

Jordan Ayew will be hoping to continue his goalscoring form when the Black Stars return for the next round of qualifying games.
