2026 World Cup Qualifiers: We have to win the hard way in certain games – Mohammed Kudus

Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus has admitted relief following the Black Stars hard-fought win over Mali in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Black Stars revived their chances of qualifying for the biggest soccer mundial, which will be held in Mexico, Canada, and the United States of America after inflicting a 2-1 win over the Eagles of Mali last Thursday.

Currently, the Black Stars are positioned third in their group with 6 points, holding a two-point lead over the Central African Republic, who are currently in fifth place with 4 points.

Speaking ahead of their game against Central Africa Republic on Monday night, the West Ham United star expressed the team has to win the hard way in certain games.

“That belief has always been there even though it has not been showing in the past few games. Like I said we always want to go to the World Cup and that is the ultimate goal so whatever we do to arrive there that is what we are trying to do”

“Our Coach has his philosophy and ways of playing but certain games we have to win the hard way but the most important thing is the three points because every game matters here and so that is our ultimate goal” he said.

Mohammed Kudus is expected to start for the Black Stars when they take on Central Africa Republic at the Baba Yara Stadium this evening.
