Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has been named the player who had the greatest impact on the English Championship in the 2023/24 season.

Taking into account six areas of the game, the CIES study revealed that the Leicester City ace had the biggest impact ahead of several top players.

The 20-year-old leads the chart with a score of 70, two points ahead of Georginio Rutter of Leeds and three ahead of Stuart Armstrong.

Fatawu, who has delighted Leicester fans throughout the season by scoring seven goals and providing 13 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions, was also named the Leicester City Young Player of the Year.

In total, Fatawu contributed to 20 goals and assists as the Foxes claimed the 2023/24 Championship title.

He made history by becoming the first Ghanaian to score a hat-trick in the Championship after netting three times against Southampton in a 5-0 home victory.

The Foxes will be playing in the Premier League next season following their success in the second tier of English football, and the Ghanaian hopes his performances this season will secure him a permanent deal at the club.
