Alfie Mawson is currently having a Fulham medical ahead of a proposed transfer from Swansea.
The teams have agreed a fee in the region of £20m for the central defender, who played in every Premier League game for the relegated Swans last season.
The London side will pay £15m up-front for Mawson, with another £5m potentially due in add-ons.
Having been promoted via the play-offs last season, Fulham have been active in the transfer market this summer.
Jean Seri and Maxime Le Marchand have arrived from Nice, Fabri has been signed from Besiktas, and former Chelsea man Andre Schurrle is back in the Premier League, having transferred from Borussia Dortmund.
And a deal has just been completed for Aleksandar Mitrovic, who was a big success when on loan from Newcastle last season.
