The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has paid a visit to the Black Starlets ahead of their showdown with Nigeria.
The Ghana U17 national team will take on their counterparts from Nigeria on Tuesday, May 28, in the third-place match at the WAFU Zone B U17 Championship.
Ahead of the game, Kurt Okraku has urged the Starlets to believe in their talent.
Speaking to the team after a visit on Monday, the GFA boss said, “There are lots of talents in this team. Let no one deceive you that you are not talents. I am the leader of football in this country and I have trust in this team.”
He added, “And per the arrangements the FA has put in place, when you finish playing at Under-17 level, you will move to Under-18 to continue with your progressive development.”
Kurt Okraku further admonished the Black Starlets to never depart from how they have been taught to play and stick together in their semi-final game with Nigeria tomorrow.
The game between Ghana and Nigeria will be played at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
