Asante Kotoko striker, Albert Amoah, is confident the club can compete for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.

The 22-year-old scored the only goal as the Porcupine Warriors beat Karela United 1-0 on Sunday in their opening game of the new Ghana Premier League season at the Naa Sherigaa Sports Complex in Nalerigu.

Despite Asante Kotoko assembling almost an entirely new team, Amoah believes they can compete for the league title.

“When you look at the team, it is like a team that has been together for a long time,” he told the club’s media team.

“Looking at the quality that we have, seriously we are capable of winning the Ghana Premier League this season.”

Albert Amoah is one of the over 12 players Asante Kotoko signed in the off season after letting go over 20 players at the end of last season.

He signed for the record Ghanaian champions from now Division One side, Great Olympics.
