Asante Kotoko show interest in Berekum Chelsea defender Lord Amoah

Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have set sights on securing the services of Berekum Chelsea Lord Amoah ahead of the new season.

The 21-year-old enjoyed an amazing season with Chelsea in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League. He was instrumental for the Bibires, who finished third the Ghanaian top-flight campaign.

Amoah has experienced in the domestic top-flight league, having made 61 appearances since making his debut and scoring 8 goals across the period.

Last season, he made 29 appearances in the Ghana Premier League and provided three assists in the process.

The enterprising right-back is a subject of interest for several clubs including Asante Kotoko, who are determined to snap up Amoah to strengthen their defense for next season.

According to sources, Asante Kotoko have engaged Chelsea for the availability of the highly-rated right-back and are keen to secure his services this summer.

Kotoko faced numerous challenges last term particularly at right-back as Justice Blay was deployed as full back in most of the games.

However, it is said the Porcupine Warriors are keen to land Amoah, who impressed heavily for Chelsea last term.
