Asante Kotoko assistant coach David Ocloo says his outfit is determined to defeat Hearts of Oak for the third time running.

The much-anticipated game between the two most glamourous clubs in the country is set for Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at the Accra Sports Stadium. The game will kick off at 6pm.

This match commemorates 30 years of Democratic practice in the West Africa country.

Ahead of the game, Ocloo says his side will ensure they beat their rivals for the third consecutive time.

“We accepted to participate in the Democracy Cup because it’s a laudable initiative. We get rid of a lot of players at the end of the season but we have able players to compete Hearts of Oak”

“Training was good and I think we are ready to silence Hearts of Oak. We ‘ve beaten them twice and we are determined to give them their third defeat against us” he said.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko recorded a back to back wins over Hearts of Oak during the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.

Before the game, parliamentarians and former Black Stars players will compete at the same venue as part of the activities to thrill fans.
