Hearts of Oak defender Kelvin Osei Asibey has admitted that there is tension ahead of the clash against Asante Kotoko in midweek.

The Phobians will lock horns with the Porcupine Warriors on Wednesday, July 17, in the inaugural Democracy Cup match.

Ahead of the game, Kelvin Osei Asibey has indicated that Hearts of Oak is not treating the game as a friendly.

He said the team is heading into the game to fight for the trophy.

"There is nothing like a friendly in matches involving Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko. It’s a Cup game between Hearts and Kotoko; definitely, there will be tension. Both teams are preparing to win the game on Wednesday. We are not taking the game lightly," Osei Asibey told Kessben FM in an interview.

He continued, “We are preparing well for the game. We are looking at winning the game."

Wednesday’s clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko will kick off at the Accra Sports Stadium at 6pm.
