Crystal Palace are closing in on a £25 million deal to sign Arsenal's English-Ghanaian striker Eddie Nketiah, with an additional £5 million in potential add-ons.
The Athletic reports that the transfer will proceed without hitches, including the agreement on personal terms.
It was reported on Sunday that Crystal Palace intensified their pursuit of Nketiah after initial discussions with Arsenal earlier this summer.
This move comes after Nottingham Forest’s bid for Nketiah fell through. Forest and Arsenal had agreed on a transfer fee of up to £30 million ($39.6 million), but the striker opted against the switch.
Marseille had also shown interest in Nketiah earlier in the transfer window, but the clubs could not settle on a transfer fee.
Nketiah, who signed a new contract with Arsenal in June 2022, is under contract until 2027.
Nketiah has not appeared in a competitive match this season following his participation in pre-season.
He was an unused substitute in both of Arsenal's Premier League games so far—a 2-0 home win against Wolverhampton Wanderers and another 2-0 victory at Aston Villa.
