Friendly Match: Hearts of Oak cruises past Togolese side Semassi FC with a dominant 3-1 victory

Ghanaian giant, Hearts of Oak put up a top performance on Wednesday afternoon to hammer Togolese outfit Semassi FC 3-1.

The two West African clubs locked horns today in a club friendly ahead of the start of the 2024/25 football season.

In a game played in Togo, Hearts of Oak dominated the contest and managed to score twice in the first 45 minutes.

The Phobians took the lead through new signing Asamoah Boateng in the 40th minute before Martin Karikari made it 2-0 five minutes later.

After a poor showing in the first half, Semassi FC improved in the second half and played a more compact game after the recess.

After a long battle, the Togolese outfit pulled one back in added time.

However, Hearts of Oak immediately responded with another goal courtesy of a strike from Isaac Frimpong to secure a 3-1 win at full-time.

Hearts of Oak is expected to play one final friendly match in Togo before returning to Ghana for the start of the 2024/25 Ghanaian football season.
