The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged Real Tamale United with misconduct over allegations associated with the Premier League match against Dreams FC.

RTU on Wednesday afternoon honoured the Week 28 outstanding league match by traveling to the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu to face Dreams FC.

Although the visitors scored first, Dreams FC came from behind to record a heavy 8-1 win.

At the end of the match, it was alleged that RTU presented unqualified players as registered players to play the fixture.

This evening, the Ghana FA Disciplinary Committee has charged Dreams FC with misconduct for deceiving match officials and fielding the unqualified players.

“Real Tamale United have been charged with a breach of Section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019, following their Ghana Premier League game against Dreams FC.

”It is alleged that the Club intentionally deceived the match officials during the said game by using unregistered players to impersonate officially registered players of their club, which constitutes misconduct that brings the name of the game into disrepute,” parts of the GFA Disciplinary Committee notice said.

According to the notice, RTU has until Friday, 14 June 2024, to respond to the charges.
