Prolific Ghanaian forward Bernard Tekpetey has been ranked as the second best striker in the just ended Bulgarian League campaign.

Tekpetey had an outstanding campaign with Ludogorets, contributing significantly to their league title and domestic cup victories.

The former Black Stars striker scored 10 goals in 30 league appearances, and was ranked behind Krumovgrad striker Alexander Kolev, who scored 15 goals in 33 games on the "Heroes of the Circle" show

Tekpetey also provided five assists for his outfit in the just ended campaign.  Out of the 30 games he played, he started 27 and came off the bench on three occasions.

The Ghana international striker is followed closely by his team-mate Ruan Kroos, who remained just one goal behind the winner Alexander Kolev.

The Top 5 is completed by Atanas Iliev and Marin Petkov.

Despite his impressive performances and recognition in the Team of the Season, he missed out on the Black Stars squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Mali and Central Africa Republic due to injury.

Ghana are aiming for positive results in the upcoming games following a sloppy start to the qualifiers. The Black Stars commenced the qualifiers with a win and a defeat against Madagascar and Comoros respectively.
