The head coach of Angola, Pedro Goncalves is upbeat ahead of his side’s game against Ghana in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Angola takes on Ghana this week in the first round of the qualifiers to the next edition of the AFCON tournament scheduled to be hosted by Morocco.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of the game, Coach Pedro Goncalves said although Ghana has a strong side he believes his side has a stronger side.

“Otto Addo gives Ghana more flexibility in formation, they can play in a line of five in the back or play in the line of four. “I think Ghana is stronger right now, but we are also much stronger,” coach Pedro Goncalves said.

The 2025 AFCON qualifier between Ghana and Angola will kick off at Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, September 5.
