Ghana Premier League newcomers Vision FC have announced the acquisition of forward Issah Akuka Issifu in the ongoing transfer window.

The 22-year-old joins the Eewo family on a permanent deal from giants Hearts of Oak and is expected to play a huge role for the club in the upcoming campaign.

Akuka struggled for playing time at Hearts of Oak and had to spend the 2021-2022 and 2022-23 seasons on loan at Real Tamale United.

He delivered an outstanding performance during his spell with the Tamale-based club, scoring 14 goals across the period.

His impressive performances earned him a move to Macedonian side FC Skhupi later in 2023 on yet another loan.

Having found a new home, the young forward will be looking forward to a fresh start at Vision FC.

"I’m excited to be part of the Vision FC family on a permanent basis," Akuka said.

"I believe this is the right place for me to continue my development."

Head coach Nana Kweku Agyemang expressed his delight at securing the services of the young striker.

"Akuka is a talented player with a bright future. He fits the profile of the type of forward we are looking for, and we believe he will be a valuable asset to the team," he said.

The signing of Akuka is a further indication of the club’s ambition to compete at the highest level in the Ghana Premier League.

Vision is committed to building a strong team capable of achieving great success in the league as they make their maiden appearance.
