The deal that would have seen Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana join Dutch giants Ajax has collapsed.

The Dutch Eredivisie side agreed a deal to sign Kamaldeen Sulemana on a long-season loan deal from Southampton early this week.

The deal agreed two days ago included an option for Ajax to sign the Black Stars attacker on a permanent deal at the end of the 2024/25 football season.

The Ghana international was seen as a replacement for Steven Bergwijn who has left the Eredivisie giants and moved to Saudi Arabia.

Today, the latest information gathered is that the deal is off due to some documentation issues.

Sulemana joined Southampton in a deal worth €25m back in January of 2023.

During his time in France Sulemana made 47 appearances, scoring six goals and grabbing four assists.

For Southampton he played 44 games, scoring twice and grabbing four assists. He has not made an appearance for the side in the Premier League this season.

The fast and pacy winger who is nursing an injury is yet to make an appearance for Southampton in the Premier League. The injury has ruled him out of Ghana's games against Angola and Niger in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

After the collapse of his move to Ajax, the talented youngster is set to compete with Southampton in the English Premier League.
