Ghanaian defender Jonas Adjei Adjetey will stay at Swiss giants FC Basel despite interest from a French club, Footballghana.com can confirm.
Adjetey has been a subject of intense interest from an unknown club in France following his impressive displays for Basel in the just ended campaign.
Adjetey, who joined Basel’s U21 team from Berekum Chelsea in August 2022, earned promotion to the senior team last season.
The 20-year-old former Ghana U20 defender made eleven appearances in the Swiss Super League.
The former Berekum Chelsea defender remain at the club despite interest from a French club and other teams.
Meanwhile, the centre-back will be hoping to make more appearances for Basel in the upcoming season.
