Dutch-born Ghanaian youngster Don-Angelo Konadu played a pivotal role in Jong Ajax's 1-0 win against Cambuur in the Dutch Eerste Divisie.

The match, held at the Kooi Stadion, saw Konadu start the game and contribute with a crucial assist before being substituted in the 61st minute.

Before the game, the head-to-head record favored Jong Ajax with 7 wins, while Cambuur had 3 wins, and there was 1 draw. Jong Ajax dominated the game with more shots and possession.

Cambuur had a goal disallowed in the first half after Michael de Leeuw's effort was ruled out due to a foul. Post-break, Jaydon Banel had two promising chances but was denied by the Cambuur goalkeeper. However, Banel eventually found the back of the net with an assist from Konadu. The striker's strong play in the box allowed him to find Jorthy Mokio, whose shot deflected off a Cambuur defender and into the goal.

The match remained intense with both teams having chances to score. Jong Ajax had two great opportunities to double their lead through Banel and Konadu, but they couldn't convert.

Jong Ajax will next face Jong AZ Alkmaar on September 17th.
