Goalkeeper Appiah Kubi feels honoured being one of the captains of Ghana Premier League outfit Medeama.

The 23-year-old, who joined the Yellow and Mauves in 2022 has been named as the vice skipper of the club.

And according to him, it is great honour for him to be the vice-captain of the former League champions.

“It’s actually an honour being the vice-captain of this great club. I think it’s a big task for us because of the work done previous captains like Kwasi Donsu, Vincent Atinga and others. As they have laid the foundation, we are hoping to continue” he told the club’s media.

The former Accra Lions shot stopper was in post when Medeama secured a narrow win in the Ghana Premier League opener against Accra Lions at the TNA Stadium last Sunday.

The Yellow and Mauves will travel to Accra to face Legon Cities in matchday 2 of the domestic top-flight campaign.
