Hearts of Oak board members have no clue about football - Harry Zakour

Former Hearts of Oak Chief Executive Officer, Harry Zakour has taken a swipe at the current board of directors of the club.

The Phobians have chalked little success under the reign of Togbe Afede XIV as the Executive Board chairman.

In the last decade, Hearts of Oak have won just a Premier League, two FA Cups and a Super Cup.

Zakour, who won the CAF Champions League, the Confederation Cup and multiple Ghana Premier League titles expressed his displeasure about how the current board of directors are poorly running the club.

"Togbe Afede XIV is doing his best but the current board of directors of Hearts of Oak don't understand football," he told Asempa FM as monitored by Footballghana.com.

"The only person I can mention is Ivy Mills. I don't know about the rest and their input.

"It is about time Togbe Afede XIV listens to advise and restore the pride of the club.

"It is sad that when he took over the club, all the board of directors then, he sacked everybody but is tike he listens to the right people," he added.

Hearts of Oak, who sit 15th on the Premier League log with 42 points will wrap up their campaign against Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday, with kick-off scheduled at 15:00GMT.
