Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara confirms Denis Korsah’s departure

Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Aboubakar Ouattara has disclosed defender Denis Nkrumah Korsah will not be part of the team ahead of the new season.

The former Ebusua Dwarfs captain was missing in action on Sunday when the Phobians locked horns with Heart of Lions in the 2024 Gbese Mantse Homowo Charity Peace Cup.

The Phobians lifted the trophy after beating Heart of Lions on penalties following a 1-1 draw in regulation time.

After the game, the Ivorian tactician disclosed Korsah is not of the team going into the new campaign.

“We are in a new era and this time, it is not about names. The names is not important. It is a strategy we are putting in place to fit everyone”

“Michael Ampadu is injured that is why he didn’t play but for Korsah, he is not with us anymore” he said.

Korsah joined the Phobians in 2022 from Ebusua Dwarfs following an impressive performance at the time.

He was instrumental when the Ghanaian giants lifted both the FA Cup and President Cup in 2022.

The 28-year-old earned his maiden Ghana call up in 2022 after impressing with the Phobians.

He is expected to find himself a club before the commencement of the Ghana Premier League campaign.
