Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak have officially announced the transfer of midfielder Glid Otanga to Qatari side Al Kharaitiyat SC.

The Congolese star joins the newly promoted outfit for the upcoming season and is expected to play a huge role for the club.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak declined to disclose details of the contract but it is said he has joined on loan.

“Glid Otanga has officially been transferred to Al Kharaitiyat SC in Qatar. We wish him all the best” the club wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Otanga has impressed since joining the Phobians in 2022, playing a pivotal role in helping the club win the Ghanaian FA Cup.

He emerged as a transfer target for several clubs following his outstanding performance but the Congolese opted to join the Qatari club.

He will be a valuable addition to the Al Kharaitiyat SC squad as they aim to make impact in the new season.

Prior to his time in Ghana, Otanga gained valuable experience playing for Akonangui FC in Equatorial Guinea and Coton Sport FC de Garoua in Cameroon.

His journey through various African leagues has equipped him with a diverse skill set and a strong understanding of the game, making him a valuable player for any team.
