Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak are trying as much as possible to secure the signing of Medeama defender Fatawu Sulemana in the ongoing transfer window.

The Phobians are in the market searching for quality players to augment their squad before the commencement of the new season.

The Ghana Premier League powerhouse endured a torrid season last term and are looking forward to bolstering their squad with quality to compete next season.

However, the Phobians has identified Sulemana, who plies his trade for Medeama as a perfect player to solidify the left-back role at the club.

According to reports, Hearts of Oak have agreed personal terms with the highly-rated left-back and are now in talks with Medeama to finalize the deal.

The 20-year-old has been outstanding since joining the Mauves and Yellows in 2019. He was instrumental when Medeama secured their first ever Ghana Premier League title last two seasons.

His outstanding performance earned him a move to Sudanese outfit Al-Merrikh SC last year but his stay at the club was cut short due to political unrest in the country.

Upon his return to Ghana, the enterprising left-back rejoined Medeama for the second round of the Ghana Premier League last season.

Sulemana made 13 league appearances as Medeama failed to defend the Ghana Premier League title.
