Hearts of Oak should sign more mature players and add a few youngsters - Kofi Kordzi

Former Hearts of Oak striker Kofi Kordzi has urged the club to sign more experienced players and add a few youngsters ahead of the new season.

He believes the club needs to do this to show it is one of the biggest in the country and also ensure that there is authority in the team.

Kordzi said having more young players in a team would disrupt the control of the team because there are no big names to stamp their authority.

“They should recruit six or seven senior players and add two or three young players to them and blend them for the upcoming season,” he said in an interview played on Asempa FM, as monitored by FootballGhana.com.

“Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are the two biggest clubs in Ghana. Those days, look at the kind of players who play for these two clubs, they are huge figures.

“For now, the young players are more than the senior players in the team. So there is no control in the team.”

Hearts of Oak have signed the likes of goalkeeper Benjamin Asare and Michael Boateng from Nations FC as they prepare for the upcoming season set to start in September.
