Ghanaian side, Nsoatreman FC suffered a 2-0 defeat against Algerian side CS Constantine in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round.
The match played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, saw the Ghanaian FA Cup champions struggle against their North African opponents from the start of the game.
The Nsoatre-based club conceded cheap goals to make the reverse fixture more difficult in Algeria.
Nsoatreman had an early chance when Kwabena Adu Meider missed a close-range effort in the 7th minute.
CS Constantine took control quickly, with striker Zakaria Benchaa scoring twice. First, he broke the deadlock with a solo effort, weaving through Nsoatreman’s defense and scoring in the 12th minute.
Benchaa doubled the lead with another goal in the 27th minute.
Despite a stronger second-half performance from Nsoatreman, they failed to convert their chances.
