Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum has indicated that he was shocked by the performance of the Black Stars in the game against Niger last Monday.

In what was a second game of Ghana in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the Black Stars failed to impress and had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Niger at the end of the contest.

Speaking to Akoma FM in an interview today, Henry Asante Twum said he could not believe how poor the Black Stars played in that game.

However, he notes that he does not believe the idea that the current Black Stars players lack commitment.

“I do not buy the ideology that these players are not committed, I've not recovered from the shock. I cannot believe how poor we were on the day and how ordinary the team was in our game against Niger,” Henry Asante Twum said.

The Black Stars will resume the qualifiers for the 2025 AFCON with a double-header contest against Sudan.
