Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil has shared insights into his decision to leave Europe and join LA Galaxy in Major League Soccer (MLS).

The five-time MLS champions acquired the talented forward from Belgium's KRC Genk in February, signing him as a Designated Player.

Paintsil has made an immediate impact in the MLS, scoring five goals and providing four assists in just 14 matches.

While playing for LA Galaxy comes with high expectations, Paintsil remains focused and composed, determined to help the club achieve its goals.

Reflecting on his move, Paintsil said, "When I heard the news, I was at the AFCON with the national team. I thought to myself, this is a fantastic team and a great opportunity for me. I was hopeful and excited to join LA Galaxy."

Regarding the pressure to perform, he confidently stated, "No, I don't feel pressure. I have amazing teammates around me, and that takes away any pressure. The more pressure I put on myself, the harder it becomes for me. So I stay calm and focused."
